Enlargement of male breast is known as gynecomastia. This creates psychological distress in young boys. In Gynacomastia different types of tissue alone or in combination may get enlarged. There can be fibroadenosis element .This may present on one side or on both side. These are
 Excess localized fat
Excess glandular tissue development
A combination of both excess fat and glandular tissue
Gynecomastia is treated surgically by removing excess fat and glandular tissue.

Surgery is done under local or general anaesthesia. This can be done by liposuction technique or by giving small intra areolar anaesthesia. Sometimes when fibrous tissue is present, it is difficult to remove by liposuction so open approach is needed. Patient can go home on same day.
